“The Magic of Christmas” Charity Benefit

“The Magic of Christmas”, a Musical Christmas Production featuring a multi-talented cast of valley performers is a traditional Christmas Musical Revue with singing, dancing and comedy. A charity event to benefit Arizona “Families in Crisis”, with proceeds going to four valley charities which include New Life Center in Goodyear, and Swan Butterfly House in Peoria, (Domestic Violence Shelters), Crisis Nursery in Phoenix, and Turnbow Foundation in Mesa, (Educational Scholarships for disadvantaged Children & Families) This original show is written and directed by Sam Tardio and choreographed by Dody Homan. The show is Sponsored by The Cameo Foundation, Furst Properties LLC, Nussbaum Gillis & Dinner, P.C. Attorneys, Dr. Pete Mellas D.M.D., Ms. Senior Arizona Organization and the Arizona Cameo Club. A Family Christmas Show with Santa at every performance to greet the children.

Meet, taste and learn from The Valley’s top women chefs at Getting Our Just Desserts 2011, a culinary event at The Art Institute of Phoenix, 2233 W. Dunlap Avenue, on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 2 to 5 p.m.

Women chefs from throughout Arizona will share their talents to benefit C-CAP, Careers through Culinary Arts Program, which supports high school culinary students.  Proceeds from this year’s event will fund scholarships for high school students.

Sample sweet and savory tastings of the chefs’ favorite dishes.  Learn something new in a selection of demonstration classes on cheese, olive oil, tea, chocolate and food photography.  Bid on amazing silent auction items including weekend getaways, dining packages, culinary products, photography and more.

Admission is $30 before September 30, 2011; afterward, tickets are $35. Tickets are available through www.blacktie-arizona.com/rsvp, event code: justdesserts11.
