WHAM Art Association, a 501(c)3 non-profit, is proud to present the Recycle Arts and Youth Festival–a festival that unites the art of recycling with art and culture! In connection with Earth Day, this one day event is a fundraiser that highlights recycled art as a practice that can contribute to concepts of sustainability, eco-friendliness and conservation of the earth’s resources–through innovation and design. Proceeds of this festival will support local art programming for veterans, people with special needs and children.
The Recycle Arts and Youth Festival will be held on Saturday April 18th, 2015 from 10 am-7 pm in Surprise, Arizona. The day’s events include a teen skateboard painting project and the Eco Chic Fashion Show, a creative display of recycled fashion that underscores the importance and possibilities of working with post-consumer reusable materials. There will be a recycled art exhibit and sculpture garden, a market place featuring the work and wares of local artists and businesses, along with several free art activities for children. Local food vendors will contribute to the day’s festivities.
